MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia junior offensive lineman Greg Isdaner has announced that he will forgo his senior year of eligibility to enter the 2009 NFL draft.

“I would like to thank Coach Bill Stewart and the entire WVU coaching staff,” Isdander says. “I enjoyed my career at West Virginia and felt that having graduated in December, it was time to move on to the next stage of my life. I am confident in my ability and believe that I can play at the next level.

Isdaner was a three-year starter for the Mountaineers with 36 career starts and earned first-team All-BIG EAST honors as a sophomore. During his three-year tenure at left guard, he helped lead the Mountaineers to a 31-8 record, three straight bowl wins, and three straight Top-25 rankings in the national polls. The Mountaineers were ranked in the Top 15 nationally in rushing yards each of his three years.

“The Mountaineer football family wishes Greg nothing but the best,” Coach Bill Stewart says. “He has been an integral part of our success, and I want to thank him for everything he has done for Mountaineer football.”
