MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - More than 9,000 came out to the WVU Coliseum Friday night for Mountaineer Madness, presented by Coke Zero.
The West Virginia men's and women's teams scrimmaged briefly, former alumni were invited back to participate in a free throw shooting contest and the Mountaineer men performed a slam dunk contest.
The West Virginia men also introduced an alternate black jersey, giving the Mountaineers four different uniform combinations for the 2010 season.
Both the men's and women's team officially begin fall practice on Saturday.
